Beats banned at World Cup?
Beats Banned
After the release of easily the most
inspirational and emotional World Cup advertising campaign of 2014, rumours
have emerged that Beats by Dre headphones have been banned from the world cup.
Word on the grapevine is that due to a
sponsorship deal with Sony, all players have been sent a pair of the brand new
Sony headphones and told to leave their beats on the coach.
After such an incredible advertising
campaign that perfectly captured the emotion of the world cup through the eyes
of stars Neymar Jr and our own Daniel Sturridge and with a recently released
Jay Z verse that added to the passion of the campaign, it’s amazing that a
sponsorship deal could take away what looked being one of the most memorable
iconography’s of summer 2014. Players getting off of the coach with the iconic
Red headphones on has become a staple in elite world football and it will
definitely feel odd not seeing them for the rest of the month.
I guess Dr Dre can’t have everything his
way. He’ll have to just rest on his billions and take this loss in his stride.
